SIC-1 is coming to Steam
SIC-1 is coming to Steam:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2124440/SIC1/
The free Steam release will run on Windows and have support for Steam Cloud and friend leaderboards. If you'd like to be notified when it's released, you can add it to your Steam wishlist via the link above (and thanks for your support!).
If you don't run Windows or use Steam, don't worry! I'll continue to update the web-based version hosted here on Itch. The only intentional differences will be related to Steam-specific features and Windows/desktop app capabilities.
My main goal with porting SIC-1 to Steam is to expose the game to a new audience. I've also never released anything on Steam, and I'm sure it will be an educational experience. Wish me luck!

Any plans for steam workshop? Custom user levels?
Good suggestion! I’m not sure how much work is involved (and how much interest there would be).
I’ll take a look after the initial release (which I’ve made a lot of progress toward, but still doesn’t have a precise date).
Cool! That's great news! If you want to you can dm me if you'll need any help with Steam. I've released 2 games on Steam (kinda). I love this game and I'd be happy to help
Wow, glad you like SIC-1 that much! I guess you're basically the target audience if you like esoteric programming languages and games :)
For what it's worth, most of my inspiration came from TIS-100 by Zachtronics. You might want to check that one out. It's the first Steam game I 100%'d :)
Good news!
