SIC-1 Re-Launch (an esolang zachlike)
SIC-1 » Devlog
SIC-1 is a free zachlike programming game where you implement programs on an imaginary 8-bit computer that can only execute a single instruction: subleq (subtract, and branch if less than or equal to zero). Optimize your programs to rise to the top of the leaderboards!
After launching on Steam yesterday, the browser-based version here on itch.io (containing 30 challenging puzzles) has been updated with:
- Achievements
- Music
- A new narrative
- Updated design, in-game reference manuals, and much more!
There is also now an Official Discord server for anyone who'd like to discuss optimization strategies or really anything related to programming games.
You can also follow development on Mastodon or on a good old fashioned web site.
Enjoy!
